ENVIRONMENT
The Institute encourages the use of renewable energy and alternative transportation. Our consumption of electricity is offset by buying through Mass Energy Consumers Alliance a share in the Hull, MA, wind turbine. The Institute supports the work of the renewable energy committee of GreenPort, an environmental organization of residents in the Cambridgeport neighborhood of Cambridge, MA. The Institute also seconds the efforts of the Cambridgeport representative in the MA legislature to improve the environment (Martha M. Walz). For information about environmental issues and opportunities affecting Cambridgeport, consult
